Anthony “Billy” Kinglee was born on December 12, 1957, to the late Henry
Alexander Smith, Sr. and Mabel Riley. He was educated in the public schools of
Colleton County. After completing his education, Billy learned the trade of
carpentry. While working on a project, Billy met the love of his life, Stephanie
Sanders. They were married on November 28, 1987, then relocated to Queens,
NY. The trade of working with his hands allowed him to uncover a skillset that
would grow immensely over the years. Billy’s work consisted of building houses,
kitchen/bathroom remodeling, and custom cabinetry, etc. His many projects can
be seen as locally as the Ritter/Walterboro communities and afar. There was not a
project that he could not handle, and he was always ready to accept a challenge.
Billy loved his trade so much that he carried tools wherever he went and would
build in his free time. He was an avid pool player, a jokester, and a socialite. He
was also member of Douglas Masonic Lodge.
He received his Christian education as a member of Cumberland United
Methodist Church. On Thursday, March 28, 2024, our beloved Billy entered
eternal rest at home surrounded by his loving wife, son, and other family
members.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
